A lot of you here think he's God such as and especially Sangaria. He was great. He was an ATG for sure! But you guys act like the man was God. Now that's absurd.
Listen dummy! Malik Abdul Azziz means "Thunder fist from Allah" in Muslim. So he's not G-d...he's Allah's fist. Oh yeah, lern to spel.
Tyspn was way better, he could finish Foreman fast, or wait him out till he got tired, as Foreman always did back then, and finish him then.
Irrelevant... Tyson could have beaten as many as 3 or 4 of A lot of the same guys Foreman fought in one evening :good
Check your facts, Pal.. Tyson fought and WON in actual 12 round fights.. Foreman of the 70's didn't..
Out of the two, id say Tyson was mentally stronger (at least pre prison) and had the better stamina. Also another thing no one has mentioned is, regarding the punches which rocked Tyson, all were short punches. Brunos left hook, Tuckers uppercut, Smiths right hand and some of Ruddocks best work was short sweet punches on the inside. Foremans punches were anything but short and sweet.
I agree with the stamina part. Tyson probably did have the better stamina. Tyson's stamina was vastly underrated pre-prison. He employed a very physically demanding and intensive defence strategy. This involved very rapid side to side head movement with both arms held up with the gloves touching either side of the face (the so-called "peek-a-boo" stance. This was an energy-draining, but effective defence. Combined with quick jabs to set up finishing hooks and upper-cuts, Cus D'Amato's system was effective in saving Tyson from getting hit, and also allowing for a swarming offence when appropriate. Tyson had excellent stamina due to a gruelling daily regime of workout and sparring. Foreman was much mentally stronger. Foreman's reach and power would be more than enough to rock Tyson.
