I know what you are saying. Maybe Crolla will grow into being a world champ. Look at say G Johnson how many losses he had.
There are some title holders that I dont think of as world champs and to me Crolla would be one of them even though he holds a title. Smith the WBO LMW champ is another

 

There are so many titles out there popular fighters can be guided into the rankings picture to engineer a title shot for sure.
