Frampton wore Irish shorts in his last fight . He has said in interviews he is Irish . Stop trying to cling onto Irish fighters . So what if Lee was born in London he is a traveller with 2 Irish parents who moved back to Ireland as a kid he also boxed for guess who Ireland .

 

You are the one trying to cling on when they are not Irish, Andy Lee is born in England, he calls himself Irish and therefore is Irish? Carl Froch was called the cobra, does that make him a snake? No it doesn't, Frampton born in NI, which guess what, is part of the UK.

 

They are always banging on about not being part of this or that until it comes to England dishing out the money northern Ireland cost england approx 9billion each year or over £5500 per person I tell u wat keep Andy lee and give us our 9 billion back

 

Havnt any of you guys heard of the good Friday agreement? Northern Ireland fighters are both British and Irish. If you want to claim them then that's grand but if you called a lot of these guys British to there face they would probebly kill you.

We'll if you didn't feel the need to control an area where the majority of people don't recognise themselves as part of the uk then you wouldn't have to pau for them.

 

Frampton is from the part of Belfast more commonly considered British. He is smart enough to know the Irish are mugs so plays up that side of it, but he is British.

 

I agree we should not b there place like Ireland India nigeria Scotland cost hardworking English tax payers a fortune all because a bygone history would live to see us withdraw from them all as the people from there do nothing but fukin moan yet have there hand out every day pouncing because of history from years and years before we were born if we walked away and kept the tax the east of England generates we would have awesome schools hospitals army and probably just as many boxers as we could invest our hard earned in wat we wanted instead of funding inept ponces

 

British boxing is in the midst of a 'golden era'. This is mainly due to the investment in the amateur game for the 2012 Olympics.

I would not belittle someone for wanting a belt and being proud of it when they win it. But in a wider context the 'currency' of belts is so diluted now as to not be a reliable indicator of the health of the sport in a particular state. That should be judged on the amount of fighters a state has that are 'generally considered' the best in their division.

 

I agree completely however the English school system is in design flawed money won't change that.
