Thats incorrect mate. Josh was the away fighter in hull against samir and picked up the commonwealth title. He then signed a 3 fight deal and The fan base came after the samir fight.

Don't get me wrong I like Josh but its his ticket sales/fanbase that gets him the hype with Sky and potential shot against Selby - Lee wins that fight all day long in my opinion.

Regards to selby imo josh tests him but loses on points.

This fight was never gunna b a recognised name on short notice and with the possibility of the selby fight in the summer.

I hate match ups where a foreign undefeated fighter comes over and Sky/Hearn pump it up - when in reality its a huge mismatch.

I understand that it can be annoying when they bring oversees undefeated fighters over and sky bull it up but the truth is we dont really know anything about this fighter hes undefeated and wants a ranking we know that though.

People need to ease up on josh they talk like hes this big protected fighter that isnt true up to winning the commonwealth he was never handed anything the 1st defence of the english was when he started getting a good size fanbase where he sold 500 tickets there was 800 sold that night as has been pointed out b4 but aitchison sold nearly 200 of those. In the commonwealth hearn wanted samir to win as he had his designs on the hull shows.
Last fight was brunker. No one was saying anything when selby fought him and a lot on here and selby said josh would be stopped in 5rds he went on to win every rd.
Most believe selby is this near on elite fighter and i just dont agree weve seen him struggle a few times his last fight was a joke to watch.
