I scored it that way myself.
I tallied up my scorecard and was somewhat surprised I had score it a draw.
If you score it round by round as one should, you have to award rounds where Mayweather was overly defensive and to inactive offensively, to Maidana when in those rounds he was both busier and landing the much harder shots.
Only one of the official judges actually was paying close attention that night.

When you're in punching rage you connect and score points.
When you run to stay out of punching range, obviously you're not going to land many punches.
How someone that follows boxing can call that boxing is beyond me.

I thought Mayweather-Maidana could be scored anywhere from 6-6 to 9-3 Matweather depending on how you score close rds, all people see is the win the official result was a mixed decision which was the correct score.

I had it 117-111. Cotto is a sore looser. He shouldn't have skipped out of the ring interview and post fight presser. He also was a no show when he lost to Trout and Mayweather. He only does them if he wins. Fukkk Cotto!

    I wouldn't agree with a 9-3 score.
I thought the range should have been within 7-5 either way.
When I rewatched the fight, I actually saw some punches that I thought Mayweather had slipped, landing.
I thought it was a difficult fight to score though, but on second viewing, I thought Maidana won his rounds more decisively than Mayweather did.
To many rounds there where Mayweather kept his punch output way low while Maidana was busy.

I felt Mayweather won atleast 6 rds clear Maidana 3, with 3 razor close rds that could be scored either way. How you look at those 3 change the score of the fight, I will say this Maidana is the only person I've ever thought had an argument for a draw or possible win vs Mayweather.

Roach said he thought Cotto boxed enough to win! :D Roach has lost all his credibility. That man should not be allowed to train fighters anymore.

Theres also the first Castillo fight as well as DLH.
There were many rounds against DLH where Mayweather was inactive that caused me to score those rounds for DLH.

I scored the first Castillo fight 7-5 Mayweather and scored the DLH fight a draw though I thought Mayweather won his rounds more decisively and dominated DLH when he was being more offensively active.

True, but Floyd clinches about a hundred times every fight. I'd prefer if he just tried to stay out of range by running rather than by fouling his opponents in range. That clinching thing he does isn't boxing either.

    Why do you think?

Maidana won that fight in my eyes.
