Its unbelievable that people were giving the fake Heavyweight Haye more of a chance against Wladimir than a natural Heavyweight in Fury. Forget about what comes out of the fighters mouths just judge what you see in the ring. This is a 50/50 fight I will not be surprised if Fury wins the title or gets robbed on points.
Anything can happen in a heavyweight fight. I've never thought much of Fury but the way Wlad looked in his last fight makes the possibility of an upset here. Wlad's declined, and Fury has been quite consistently improving since about 2011 or 2012. Most likely Wlad wins, but Fury winning late or on points would not surprise me at all.
Fake? Tyson avoided Price, fought a blown-up CW in Cunningham, tiny HW's like Chisora and useless HW's like Johnson to get a shot at Wlad. Tyson has talked his way into this, simple.
But you give it that "last fight" nonsense. How about when he DECIMATED Pulev, who is better than EVERYONE on Tyson's CV? That was what? A year ago? Jennings is also better than given credit for. Tyson is so out of his depth in this one that it isn't even comical.
Brixton Bomber I call haye "fake" as in he is not a natural Heavyweight. He took advantage of the state of the Heavyweight division at the time he stepped up from cruiser: His first fight at HW was against Monte "2 gunz" Barrett who was about as lethal as a BB gun. He then won his WBA title against... Valuev and made his first defence against John Ruiz. Ruiz was at the END of his career and posed about as much danger to Haye as Ali would if he still fought today. Valuev was just a giant, nothing special and he was lucky to still have that title as 46 year old Holyfield had outboxed him a year before. Haye then gifted a title shot to the brilliant Audley Harrison who was so feared in World Boxing that not even the mighty Klitschkos dared to face him! Haye then ran his mouth as usual, gassed up a lot of the public into thinking he would actually go and have a fight with Wladimir, however fighting was the last thing on his mind and as soon as the bell went for Round 1 it was survival mode for Mr. Haye who was looking forward to counting his money afterwards. Im not going to mention Haye vs Chisora as you already said about Fury fighting him. I see Chisora as a decent, solid boxer at British/European level nothing more. Fast forward to November 2015, Haye decides he is now free of all these injuries that affected him in the past and is ready to rule the world again apparently... Haye is a clever man. He is all about the money. He knows that with Joshua/Whyte Deontay Wilder a champ Fury fighting Klitschko etc. that HW boxing is coming back to life so he wants a piece of it again. At least I know that on Saturday, Fury will put his heart and soul into the fight against Wladimir and that will give him a better chance than when Haye fought him.
Power = Speed x Force So it's not as if etc.. Cunningham don't possess speed for a Super Cruiser type.. Fury's chin seems ok to me.. he's been hit by Chisora and all that.. So Fury basically got good footspeed and handspeed for a jabber etc. That's all you really need.. it's the reflexes that are first to go.. reflex of being hit and hitting.. A footballer always loses pace.. but the dribble speed is always there like Ryan Giggs. The still footed reflexes might go like Muhammad Ali.. but a fighter always has the dribble speed.
For me it eclipses Honeygan vs. Curry and Hatton vs. Tszyu and is right up there with Turpin vs. Robinson but it is a big if as to whether Fury can get it done!
It's just some fighters have more speed than others overlapping in the feet and hands.. Then some posses more jab in the hands and feet persay/perse.. They usually call it footwork instead of footspeed.
Force is the weight of the punch.. a light man like Prince Naseem can have force but his power is amplified by the speed. A big man will naturally posses force.
Isn't Wladmirs career made from beating pretty much the same s**** heap? Fury is going to retire Wladmir.
