Anybody else think that Bute may have a chance?

I remember Bute had a really bad staff infection in his toe before the Froch fight so much so I thought he'd pull out but he went ahead with it.

I think he let the occasion get to him as well and Froch had a great night. This time up it is Bute on home turf? DeGale on away turf, Bute has had time mentally to recover, he's still young in boxing terms as well.

I think Degale should win but if Bute has really trained hard and shows up in good shape it could be a hard fight especially with the crowd behind him and possibly the officials.

I think Bute is too far gone for the Degale that gets caught on the ropes and looks unconvincing to show up, but I think it's still there and against somebody else could be an issue.

Just above a puncher's chance unless DeGale does his laying on the ropes trick then I'd say he has a better chance.

    DeGale on points for me.

Bute is too timid to hang with the best men at 168, but if by some chance he has regained his composure, he's definitely got a shot. He was very good at his best.

    I'd say a chance etc..

Degale is probably the best future 168er.. but Bute as well I think may be underrated..

To the extent of beating Degale I dunno.. a chance yea.

Don't understand why people question Butes chin ?

Against Froch he was simply overwhelmed, even under a barrage of flush punches he never actually hit the canvas.

Against Andrade, he simply ran out of gas.

Butes biggest problem is his heart, if he has gotten the desire back, he's more than capable of upsetting the odds.

He has excellent boxing skills, and dynamite in his left hand, its whether he is willing to engage with DeGale that will decide the outcome.

Agree, could chunky go 12 with pascal at LH? I think Bute has an outside chance here. Why is degale's first defense in Canada anyway...does Eddie owe bute a favour from him travelling to the froch fight or is just that he's got no fans over here.

Likely result is chunky WIN but at these odds Bute points and KO are worth covering.

Can´t write off Bute. He´s back at his base, fighting at the right weight against a man who´s defending for the first time. Froch´s strategy "kill or get killed" won´t be copied by DeGale. DeGale is a boxer. Bute is a boxer. They have the skills to fight 12 rounds of clever boxing trying to outthink each other. It´ll be close and in the end it´ll be a split decision or a draw.

This is a great fight for degale.

Tough match up!!! Bute is a good fighter with a solid record. He's been around the block, he's experienced and carries good power.

I think degale will win but it'll be close I believe.

Dirrell and bute would be a great way to start your world champion campaign. Especially as he's fighting abroad too.

no degale will wreck him, this is a guy who knocked Dirrell down who is extremely skilled, and has a solid chin.

Bute has a very good chance, if he has made weight correctly and well.

People have written Bute off after Froch, he had a bad night, it happens and this is his shot at redemption in his own backyard, very dangerous fight for DeGale.

I think DeGale wins but it might well be a very tough night.
