Let's be honest here. DeGale did not meet expectations last night. He was a huge favorite. He was supposed to win by knock out. Instead, what he got was a competitive fight from a guy Pascal shut out. So at the end of the day, he underperformed. DeGale will have a good first 3 rounds against GGG and then it'll be all downhill from there. He fades in the 2nd half and that's where he'll get trapped and knocked out.
Same. Reason why I said I walked away less impressed after the fight even though he got the win. He didn't win in the fashion people expected him to win by. He needed to make a statement.
Every round was close and hard fought for. Even if you believe Degale won 8 rounds, doesn't mean those 8 rounds came easy. It was a competitive fight, and Bute made Degale work the whole 3 minutes of every round.
I think DeGale could win but the problem is he can't seem to pace himself and gets tired after a few rounds. Skill wise he can give Triple G fits but if he is tired and on the ropes and gets caught, it's over. The style matchup is in DeGale's favor though.
Bute looked much better yesterday than against Pascal partially because DeGale allowed him to. GGG by a confident decision or a late KO.
Boy you are so dumb. GGG outscored Bute 33:20 and you claim GGG was schooled? What alternative world do you live in?
Would be very interested in seeing this match up. It would be interesting to GGG does against larger opponents at SMW and DeGales speed could cause GGG some real problems. Hopefully Golovkin can clear out MW soon and move up to SMW.
Just thought I'd point out the fact that fighters don't always perform to the same level every time they fight and styles make fights. Maybe DeGale didn't underperform and Bute just performed better than some people expected? Would DeGale have been a "huge favorite" against a pre-Froch Bute? Maybe Bute performed at or close to his best?
