I'm not sure about it. But at this point in Wlad's career all he needs is his brother. I don't know what Wlads relationship is with Banks. Is Banks with Wlad thru his whole training camp? He seems like a quiet guy.
Wlad has to do things himself. He's beyond the being told point. Either he does or he doesn't. Fury was wide open for some huge shots if Wlad wanted to throw. Watch Wald come out ripping shots in the rematch and pulls a Lewis vs Rahman II and smokes Furys boots off!
It's going to be tough for Wladimir to get Fritz back in the corner considering he died of a heart attack about a year ago.
Wlad fans are always making excuses. Wlad should not even need a trainer at his age. Fury is the better fighter of the two and Wlad's insane fans can't face the facts. Fury beat Wlad with ease and no trainer can save Wlad at this point. Fury beat the jab and grab bull**** Wlad has been using for years. Wlad cannot beat Fury no matter how many times they fight. Wlad needs to retire. He just does not have the chin or skin of a great fighter.
Does anyone thinks Wlad should consider switching up? Or is it pointless at this stage of Wlads career? Seems as if Banks laid back style doesn't really get Wlad motivated the way Steward could. Sadly his previous trainer Fritz Sdunek passed away last year. Which trainer do you guys think could get Wlad to bring back some aggression and motivate him? John David Jackson? Abel Sanchez?
Hes so far into his career, I don't think a trainer change is beneficial. They should sit down and study what a) went wrong and b) what could they REALISTICALLY do better. Wlad was gunshy, scared and looked downright inexperienced. Some of this we have seen before, however, I haven't seem him look this amateurish in a long time. You don't get to look more like an amateur late in your career, unless you're highly brain damaged which is obviously not the case. I doubt all this is connected to Banks at all, and I don't think Banks can do anything about it. Its more of a psychological issue, and Banks isn't trained in the field I assume. Froch sought out professional help, why shouldn't Wlad?
Its not banks fault Wlad had a mental breakdown and wouldn't throw a punch. Mind you he should have been screaming at him or threatening to throw in the towel if he didn't start fighting back. He should have slapped him. But then again, Chisora did that and didn't seem to motivate that bum at all.
Bank can be heard from the 4th round or so telling Wlad he is behind on the scorecard and needs to start throwing punches with the right hand.
He doesn't need anything new. Tyson is just bigger and better. Excue the pun but Let's play big bank take little bank
