Larry Merchant, Jim Lampley, and Manny stewart

    Which one of the three wins the biggest idiot/suck up to HBO award?

    Larry's negatively/biase towards boxer-punchers/counter punchers? By stating that it is lame? But praise the sluggers.

    Or Jim Lampley's constant star nut hugging and calling wrong shots?

    Or Manny stewart's star nut hugging/stating most comments. For ex... when he sees a fighter doing good he would say he looks awful blah blah but as soon as the fighter starts to look better then he would say "now he is getting his rhythm" stating everything that is very obvious.

    Is it just me or does anyone else notice the stupid looking smirk that Steward has when he's in front of the camera? :lol: It's as if he tries so hard to smile...

    I still prefer them over the other commentators. yeah they drop the ball now and then. but at times do make some good observations.

    I have watch some of the fights with the volume muted at times because it's true, they can be biased. and I've caught myself giving some rounds where they shouldn't of.

    I'll tell you who was a crap commentator, Bobby Czyz with Showtime.

    Yeah, HBO should sack them and hire 3 guys to sit in silence at ringside for an hour or so.

    Lampley, Merchant and Foreman was the best line-up. I enjoyed Big George and Larry's arguments.

    I like to punch manny's smirk off his face. everything that comes out of his mouth pisses me off. So overated... he is an opportunist. He tries to train guys who is big in their weight division, good amatuer background and obvious no brainer fighters. Unlike the Mayweathers who would mold decent fighters to great fighters. Stewart likes to fish for Olympians/good amatuer background like Oscar, Lewis, Taylor, Andy Lee, Cintron. They are all big for their divisions, so manny really don't have to do **** but run his fraud smirking mouth.

    I think Lampley is a star play by play man. HBO is lucky to have him IMO. He has a presence and command about him in front of the camera that we take for granted.

    I love Merchant because he's, well Merchant. The very odd old man who says some funny things regularly.

    And i think Roy Jones is an amazing commentator. He's also a heck of a guy.

    Steward's gotta go.

    Max Kellerman seems to favor boxer-puncher a little too much but that boy is sharp and actually watches and comment on the fights. They other three sound like old drunks... half the time they are talking about something that is completely irrelevant to the fight and missed calling a kd or a ko blow.

    I think ****-canning Merchant, and replacing Steward with Tessitorre would be good. Manny Steward is annoying as hell, and Merchant's 'wisdom' is tired and stale. Jim Lampley is my hero.

    Jim Lampley & Larry Merchant are the voice HBO boxing!!!
    My personal Fav's, + I like the fact that they agree to disagree all the time.
    + Merchant always tends to lean towards the fighter with some "Balls"

    The Third man is always an interchangeable fig...
    I always tend to lean towards the former world Champ as commentator tho.
    Sugar Ray Leonard, Roy Jones Jr, & Foreman way better Than Manny.
