AMEN!!! This is the book that I'm looking for at the used book stores...it's the best. The actual words of these great champs is what fascinates me the most.

The Ghost of Manila,Mark Kram an excellent writer gives an eye opening view into the Ali Frazier rivalry . I highly recommend it.

A Flame of Pure Fire,Roger Kahndoes a great job of putting Jack Dempsey into historical perspective.

Hands of 5tone the definitive Roberto Duran biography.

"The Professional" by W.C. Heinz. Still totally relevant almost 60 years later.

"Pound for Pound" by F.X. Toole. A very gritty, newer novel with great insight into the seedier side of boxing.

I've been looking for this but with no success. Back in the 90's, this was listed by either The Ring or KO as THE best fictional book on boxing.

I enjoyed A Stone For Danny Fisher a lot. Fiction though. But a really good read. Not entirely about boxing but more about a boxer that gets involved with the mob.
    Brilliant book though.
