Horrible stoppage. I used to love Big John McCarthy but the man's judgment is shot.

Okay, nah, slow mo replay showed that Aldo was indeed out before hitting the ground, and the hammer strikes just sealed the deal.

    God damn that was quick.

In the moment I thought Aldo was legitimately knocked down by the left cross but had also landed a left hook a split-second later on his way down and might still be lucid enough for the knockdown to, while hard, not be necessarily fight-ending ...and McCarthy seemed to already be stepping in before it could be determined whether Aldo was going to pull guard or recover on his back. The replay shows clearly, however, there was no recovery to be had. The man was out and John was there, appropriately, before he could be damaged further.

Aldo walked right into that shot. After watching Rhonda eat all those left hands you would think these MMA guys would work on their standup skills.

What is that? Seriously ridiculous. Ran into a shot. Immediate rematch though, Cain got KO'd really quick by JDS and we know what happened later.

Those guys rely too much on rolling around on the mat. The entire UFC is full of glass jaws except Jon Jones and Holly Holm.

It was a dumb move from Aldo who was probably trying to get "respect" right away. Mcgregor just threw a check hook which caught Aldo right on the button as he was leaning. I wished we saw a longer fight. Now I will have to chug my brandy and eggnog which I prepared for a five round fight.

Didn't need slow mo to see he was out, was pretty clear the way he went down / limp and taking the hammer fists without any defence.
