Really looking forward to this tonight. A good card too. I think Lee hits a bit harder than Eubank Jr and a KO cant be ruled out but even though Saunders will have to take some bombs, maybe take count at some point, i predict he wins on points.
tough to call as Saunders is obviously a superior boxer, but if i had to put money on it i'd take Lee. height, reach, power & experience advantages. i'll predict late ko, after Saunders fades.
Posted this earlier in the year - I do see saunders boxing skills but I think Lee has been in with the better competition, and in saunders biggest fight to date, with a good (maybe best camp) he gassed after 6, I can see him gassing in the lee fight and then getting caught, he's going to have to be constantly on the move from the taller Lee and that will take its toll - now Lee best shot is the left hook, and with him being a southpaw it will catch an orthodox fighter because it's not a punch they usually expect and he may have some difficulty catching another southpaw in Saunders but I still think Saunders will fade and defense gets abit sloppy (so KO by Lee in 7/8). But in saying that - it's just a fight I've been looking forward too and will enjoy it either outcome
It's nice to see a genuine 50/50 fight for once. I was favouring Saunders but I have an inkling that Lee wins late. Not sure which way to go, really.
BJS is a southpaw too so it'll no surprise of the left hook from a southpaw for him. Lee is a good decent boxer but BJS is much more skilled and should win the decision, as others have said Lee can only get away with the left hook so many times when he is being outboxed. BJS will use a lot of good movement, in and out to win the rounds. Of course lee can catch him with the big hook, then we see what happens then.
Inspector: John Ryder appeared to have BJS in some bother late into their fight, after Saunders had tired dramatically. BJS was penalized for excessive holding. I think Saunders is all wrong for Lee, and takes this by wide UD. I think Billy Joe could even have Andy hurt on a few occasions. If BJS utilises his straight shots, superb movement, maintains a tight defence, and doesn't just stand in front of Lee and / or tire badly from the 9th round onwards, he wins, and wins well -- probably a 118-110 or a 117-111 type victory. Elsewhere, I'm also looking forward to seeing how Liam Williams performs upon his return, after a long layoff with a hand injury.
