The bodywork and short uppercuts Ortiz broke Jennings down with are shots Wlad has never used effectively in his entire career. Wlad tried to hit Jennings inside with uppercuts but they were just weak, inaccurate flailing punches.

It's not always so black n white (Toon Toon!). Ortiz will give anyone problems. He looks like a prime George Foreman James Toney hybrid

This. Ortiz's experience and technique were too much for Jennings. Wlad has no inside game except for clinching.

100x faster than small George ever was, hands and feet. I would gather he's a bigger banger than small George was too..

Foreman was a great during his time but he'd be a small small hw now. I forget how tall he is but my memory is telling me he was pretty much Jennings size, which was a big hw in the 60's, 70'so but pretty small for the big time hw's of today.

He was 225 at his peak, very very slow compared to today. He is what 6'4" ?
And at 225 he would be Jennings size, just far slower..

Ohhh I forgot, how much greater fighters get decades after they retire. . He must've been twice as fast, twice as big and twice as everything I remember and still see on video.

The videos of his fights have to be lying to my eyes. I forgot the fact about the only type of athletes in the world that haven't gotten better are fighters. Ohhh ya, big George is still massive. His 6'4" 225 lbs is way bigger than the 6'3 229 lbs Jennings. Now my heads back on straight

Actually during the fight I was texting a buddy and told him that I thought Ortiz reminded me of a southpaw version of Foreman with a little Larry Holmes. He pushes off just like Big George did and has a very good jab, left hand and uppercut, throws well in combination and obviously has heavy hands. He also can move laterally and has decent hand speed for his size and age. Let's see what he accomplishes but he is very talented and stylistically he is a hybrid of Foreman and Holmes in my opinion.

It's been repeated often enough, but now we know that in the Wlad vs. Jennings fight, it was that Wlad was bad, not that Jennings was good.

So Fury only beat a shot Wlad. And Hell, Fury lost quite a few rounds and was wobbled in round 12 too.

I'm a huge Fury fan, but things don't look so rosy for him after tonight.

Good win by Ortiz. You could tell he was sick as well, coughing a lot during the post fight interview.

Jennings actual ability was flattered in his fight with Wlad. Wlad had declined but also Wlad lacked the tools Ortiz showed to break through Jennings high guard.

Wlad has always lacked an uppercut in his make up as a fighter. In his prime his lack of an inside game wasn't a big issue, he had the reflexes and the clinching to compensate but once he lost a step and his physical attributes were no longer as formidable his flaws were exposed and eventually punished.

Wlad carries fights for extra TV time and sponsor promotion.
