Similar to last week, only the final 2 fights of any interest. Pluke Campbells and similar plodders of no interest
did u watch the dwarf butler was fighting? :verysad the catterall finish was decent though. liam smith to ko an overmatched fighter later on. hardly a good card at all.
Stalker fight was great again by all accounts. Butler never looks too exciting but finished well against a durable opponent, Catterall had to take a few shots but came back in spectacular fashion. Smith VS Jupp is interesting as Jupp is outboxing him, but Smith is figuring him out.
I just want to question this, why is there a double standard in promoters, some people saying it how it is, but this is not a good card, look at the odds for the fights, yes I know better than to just look at the odds but they were spot on for tonight. Any other would be slated for this card but somehow he has got away with it, baffling.
Boxnation cards simply out of sight and mind for most people so no discussion. Seen much worse cards on Boxnation and Sky. This was an average card for me but pleased to see BJS beat Lee.
It wasn't that great but I don't see much of a problem with the "odds" here. Stalker vs Evans was a 50/50 ish fight Lee vs Saunders was a 50/50 ish fight Mitchell Smith fight turned out to be competitive (well he lost) Paul Butler fight was a decent step up to get himself back in contention Tommy Langford fight wasn't competitive, but he is still a relative novice OK Liam Smith had a soft first defence As boxing cards go, there is far worse.
Liam Smith was like 1/10, Mitchell was around 1/20, Stalker was 1/2 which is fair enough, Lee vs Saunders is a good quality match up, Catterall and Butler were very short odds also. One quality match up and a couple of other competitive fights of a low quality is not a good card in my opinion, especially given that people were hyping this up and said it was better than last weeks card on Sky.
Don't think you are comparing like for like , one was a standalone PPV event one is a subscription based channel. Just take the subscription based sky sports cards and compare it to those and last nights boxnation effort more than holds its own imo. If you want to base the fights purely on odds then putting Luke Campbell on a PPV card when he's 1/50 to win is as much a disgrace as his actual performance.
Always going to struggle when you consider it was originally a totally different undercard, the last one went ahead (10 October) with a card that wasn't too bad (Flanagan - Magdaleno L smith - Thompson Blackledge - Markham Stalker - Evans 1 In particular the blackledge and stalker fights were good domestic 50/50s
