    I think he might rope him in for sparring to help prepare for Kovalev (like I said, if of course he's serious about facing him), his ''mentor'' B-Hop has used him a couple of times so he might recommend he do so.

    I have no idea why boxrec and HBO keep listing him as 6'3. Usyk and Gvozdyk are 6'3 and quite a bit taller than Slava even 6'1 Gonzalez looked a little taller. He's 6'1 ath the most.

    He looked really good last night and also took at least 10 huge bombs without even being a little stunned so his chin is in fact solid the Parker fight appears to just be an anomaly. Pascal who has an great chin was hurt by Gonzalez.

    Wow, got to give it to Shab, he looked great last night, he hurt Yunieski repeatedly, boxed smart, and actually showed a great chin despite being dropped and nearly knocked out in his last fight against an unknown guy.

    Brave too, he didn't get himself an easy fight to rebuild himself or get back into the swing of things after that poor showing last time out, he just jumped in against another very tough LHW and beat the hell out of him.

    Yeah there's nothing wrong with his chin at all Gonzalez has really heavy hands and he clocked him flush numerous times with huge shots and Shabranskyy took them like a boss. I don't recall seeing him hurt once during the fight whereas Gonzalez was hurt multiple times. He wasn't at all reluctant to stand and trade with Gonzalez when need be either, even though Gonzalez was hurling bombs at him.

    I suspected the Parker fight a bit of a one off. Firstly they were really good shots very early into the fight, and secondly the fact that he wasn't sparked out by the punch that caused the second KD and the speed at which he recovered from that disastrous first round was actually really impressive. I know you can't judge a book by its cover but he really looks like a hard ******* to me. Don't forget that in addition to him being a quality amateur boxer he was also a 2 x world kickboxing champion with over 150 fights of experience in that code so he's used to getting kicked in the head extremely hard as well as clocked in it with fists.


    No questioning whether Gonzalez's shots carried serious power or not either

    Slava looked taller than Gonzalez (5'11 on BoxRec) at the presser and weigh in for sure, and shorter than Parker who's 6'4 or 6'5.

    I'm not the one to care for heights but he definitely looks to be at least 6'2 :huh

    That was a really good win for Slava, especially considering his last performance, although Parker was a cruiserweight. Gonzalez is a good fighter. I was impressed.

    Annoying fight to score, lots of missed, glancing, half blocked shots. But Shabranskyy did enough to clearly win this. Good performance all in all.

    I scored it 98-93 To Shabranskyy.

    I scored it 99-91 it was a brilliant performance from Slava and he easily won as I said he would, and for all the people on here who think this somehow diminishes Pascal and Yunieski's performance against him it doesn't, Slava is just better than Yunieski and most likely Pascal, Yunieski tried his heart out and should be commended for going the distance he was rocked in at least 4 or 5 times, and its a pity it wasn't a 12 rounder because Slava would have scored the stoppage, he had Yunieski hurt bdly in the last 10 seconds of the 10th.

    The Parker knockdowns possibly weren't anomalies, maybe Parker is like Umberto Savigne, he may have a huge punch but a weak chin, that happens sometimes.

    Look at the punch that lead to the second KD in the Parker fight, Shabanskyy should been out from that considering how hurt he still was from the first KD. And look how quickly he recovers during the interval between the 1st and 2nd round.

    And Parker did say in his post fight interview that he'd been sparring with some good guys who had praised his power and he also said he'd noticed as they were getting ready that Shabranskyy had started warming up late too.
