I didn't see your link mate, why would they remove it :verysad It was a interesting interview, what did you think of it?
It's in post 26 of this thread. Maybe it was at Frank or Mitchell's request, who knows.. Myself I thought it was a terrific interview, one of IFL's best tbh it was so raw and the kid kind of redeemed himself. I hope they make it public again, it does him only good and no harm imho..
Its not very often i take pleasure in seeing a fighter get beat but i was over the moon last night. Smith was an embarasment at the press conference b4 the fight a total jerk Hes been mithering warrington on social media as well as saying hed beat lomo. I havnt seen the ifl from after last nights fight but if its like posters have said on here then he will of redeemed himself. Thing is the kid isnt a bad fighter last night he was more a victim of his own ego rather than a lack of talent. Its possible for smuth to come back from this it will all depend on jow well he learns the lessons from last night.
He sounded like a bully in tears because the geeky kid in glasses not only stood up to him but gave him a beat down and went off with his bird
I agree, I wasn't impressed by his pre fight ranting but after watching that interview I had some sympathy for him, he looked genuinely humbled. I thought about it last night and I think Smith is/was just trying to make some noise to get himself noticed and build his profile but got drawn into what quite a few fighters do and that's make outrageous statements and set himself up to get ridiculed. He should use DeGale as an example, DeGale did similar after the Olympics and it ended with Groves but DeGale took that loss and went away trained very hard, let his performances and wins make noise instead of mouth and now he has turned it all around. It is now a real test of Smith's character now and I hope he passes.
Mitchell is 2 weights above where he needs to be. He is Deffo a big talent but far too small for Super Feathers. He has a bad attitude and got found out last night by a average below domestic level fighter. Jupp is good fighter and showed that. I hope Mitchell at least goes to Feather but hopefully he goes right down to Super Bantam after a year rebuilding he can get right in the mix
Surely that's a film being almost 12 stone at 5 foot 3 or 4 would be huge. If he blows up that much he has bigger problems than he thinks
I met Smith when he was fighting on the Cleverly / Krasniqi undercard at Wembley arena - he seemed alright. But after watching him act like a total tosspot in the presser, I was buzzing for Jupp when he had his hand raised - fair play to him. Took all that un-necessary stick before hand then let his hands to the talking & put in a career best performance. In Smith's defence though, he did have the stones to give a brutally honest interview with IFL after the fight. He's a talented fighter and the Jupp loss seems to have humbled him, hopefully now he'll get his head down, live the life and go far.
I very much doubt this. There's an IFL interview where he says he was gonna go for a run but he was waiting for it to stop raining..
Never seen that one. But like I said, he's been humbled and he now says he's been ****ing about not living like he should - this should give him a kick up the back side.
