    Who wins on January 16th?

I lean towards Martin. Sure, he's not as experienced, but he's faster, bigger, and has the longer reach. Glazkov typically struggles against quick black fighters.

It's a very tough call, because Martin is untested, and appears clumsy at times. However, in recent fights his defense has been looking pretty good.

If Glazkov is on a good day he has very good chances, but if ordinary Glazkov shows up I favor Martin...possibly by KO with the left hand.

Another reason to like Martin is his promoter won the purse bid, so he might have a favorable ref in addition to his size and reach advantage.

Not a fight I would bet on.

Is it already happening January 16th? No Bermane Stiverne on the card?

Both guys are fringe contenders. Disgrace of a title fight.

The lack of experience is the main reason why I have trouble picking. If Martin had more experience, I would pick him without a doubt.

Yes, Martin is more athletic, longer, faster AND A LEFTY, but he's still very raw. On the flip side, Glazkov is about as polished as anyone in the division, but he hasn't fought a southpaw in a while.
Hard one to call, but I simply don't believe that Martin's previous experience or level of competition will have prepared him for someone with Glazkov's tools...assuming that Glazkov has no undisclosed health/personal issues that may affect his performance.

How on Earth did Martin get a shot at a world title?

No clue how Martin got a title shot. Not to mention the stink surrounding the whole thing. Did I mention that this whole title thing STNKS? I do not rate Glazkov, but I've seen very little from Martin to for an opinion. Could anyone point me to some of Martin's former fights, please?

Well from about 3 minutes of footage I've seen of Martin, he didn't look faster to me than Glazkov (who's a fairly quick heavyweight), he didn't look fast period in fact.

Maybe he was just tired then.

The way Martin punches reminds me of old women swimming breaststrokes at the pool.

Yeah, I don't see what makes him athletic exactly. I'd have no problems with Glazkov being described in such a way but Martin looks the opposite if anything, how strange...

I'll have to check out more footage of him later on.

if it goes the distance Martin will be home free, because Al won the belt bid.
And I think it will go the distance.
