Well many of the great Cuban amateurs to turn over following defections failed to translate their success in the ams to the pro game.

One of the latest am star which failed big time on pros Matt Korobov. He is not cuban but he strikes me as great example that it is different game at pros. I dont know what happened to Korobov(besides Lee's right hook) but what disappointment he turned out to be.

I am not surprised when Cubans aren't as successful in the pros as they were in the amateurs. I just think of it like this - Imagine suddenly being open to a world where you are free to do what you want, including eating, drinking, and all the "finer" things in life.
