So my question is..... Name me one or several fights where boxer A gets knocked down and gets up to immediately(matter of seconds) KO the opponent. Obviously Jack Johnson-Stanley Ketchel comes to mind as the most obvious example but I'm sure there are more.
Chris Eubank v. Michael Watson II. Well, they didn't stop it right away, but the damage was done. Juan Meza v. Jaime Garza.
Benn vs Logan is the most dramatic turnaround I've ever seen. Castillo vs Corrales is right up there. I think Calzaghe vs Mitchell is on these lines as well but a while since I watched it.
I don't know if Bob Foster's first LHW Title defense against Frankie DePaula would qualify or not according to this criteria, but I'm guessing not. However, DePaula scored an opening round flash KD which BF avenged well before the round was up by triggering the three KD rule.
I was thinking that when I opened the thread but decided against it considering how much time weeks took to reestablish the action
Big mistake on De Paula's part as it turned out, as Bob was so p*ssed at it being ruled a knockdown he immediately went for the KO.
Joe Calzaghe vs Byron Mitchell is close, Calzaghe was dropped and swaying like a tree but within seconds dropped Mitchell and soon stopped him.
Derrick Jefferson against Maurice Harris? Maybe not, but watch it anyways for your sake. You won't regret it.
