    This.
Sheer roided size is Joshua's only hope.

At his peak, Tua was a sensation and a top 5 hw of his era. That's a tall order for Parker to exceed. The only way he definitively does it is if he wins a belt and makes a defensible argument that he's the best HW around for a couple years.

Its possible but I don't think he'll do it.

Joshua definitely looks faster in the fights I've seen. We'll see, like I said, I'm open to Parker proving better than Joshua. I'm a skeptic right now, but if Parker does something to legitimately put distance between himself and Joshua, even apart from a h2h matchup, I'm not the type to hate, I'll own up to it.

I haven't seen either in a full fight yet so cannot really comment. I'd like to see both of them fight a decent opponent

Rumours of Parker fighting Takam in April or July.
That would be a great fight - hope it gets made.
Whyte landed 1 decent bodyshot and AJ flinched and took a minute off - Parker would have definitely noticed that

That would be a bit too big a jump up, imo. Parker's never faced anyone definitively above the top 40. Takam is (fringe) top 10. He should face a Duhaupas type first. Great if it works out, but your courting disaster.

Parker does have the shortest reach of any HW in the top ten right now. I wonder how that will influence his style as he steps up through the division.

It hasn't seemed to bother him thus far. He cuts the distance quite well, flicking out his quick jab on his way in to unleash his barrages, so I don't think it'll negatively effect him all that much.

    Parker would ruin Whyte.

Parker also has far better stamina than Joshua. From what I've seen of Joseph Parker, he doesn't look like the sort of person to be huffing and puffing like a broken-down steam engine after 4 rounds of action.

I quite fancy Parker to beat Joshua. One thing is for sure: if this fight happens and Parker has Joshua rocked and hurt, he won't let him off the hook like Whyte did.

Good post. I suspect he'll be vulnerable to the larger, heavier and reachier hw's. But, on the other hand, he seems reminds me a bit of Joe Louis in his style, the ATG hw with the best track record against larger HW's. While I think the odds are against it, I could at least see Parker being able to negate size advantages of other top hw's like Louis was able to.

I can't wait for 2016. I have also heard the rumour that they are after Takam in April, but also heard it could be Ustinov. Either person will really show where Parker is at. I have the feeling this coming year he will really get some impressive KO wins under his belt.

    Good for the division!

Yawn, wake me up when he fights someone that can punch back.
