If De La Hoya could outbox Trinidad for 3/4 of a fight. A clever boxer like Curry would definatly be leading going into the late rounds. Now if he can just stay away from that left hook... Well, then that's the trick...

I think that for that oh so brief time when Curry was at his best, he would have had too much on the ball for Tito...Curry w12 Tito

Tito had great power at the weight, but i think a prime Curry would have been too good.Curry by mid rounds stoppage.

Good one. I'd go with Curry on points. Tito was a tad over rated, and was exposed by top notch boxers. While a TKO win for Trinidad is a possibility, I think Curry on points is the greater possibility of the two.

Its funny because the other night I was watching some of Curry's old fights and this match up comes up....Good fantasy match up...

I have a gut feeling that Tito catches up to Curry late in the fight, hopelessly behind and scores the stoppage. Curry was clearly more refined but so was Reid, Vargas and dare I say it Joppy.

Tito was definately a skilled puncher and IMO had the better chin of the two. A Curry win is possible and in 10 fights I can see Curry winning 4 but if I had to lay a bet I'd have my money on Tito Trinidad

Tito didn't take the best punch any better than Curry. Curry's offense didn't carry as much raw power but was more refined and sharper.

I agree with SS, over a series of fights various scenario's are probable. Over one single fight i will go with Curry's superior sharpness to finish Tito where others failed.

Slicksouthpaw has to be a troll. I find it hard to believe that someone could be as consistently wrong (to the extreme) as he.

I think Curry's chin/heart lets him down at some point.

    Tito by stoppage.

As far as Hearns, he was hitable and got hurt far more easily than Tito and Curry would pay for hurting Tito early! Worst thing to do was wake Tito up!

Trinidad had devastating power in both hands. Tall for a welter, good boxing skills good defense. Against one of the premier boxing talents in welter history in Curry. I would give Trinidad a punchers chance, but a prime Curry takes him to school 8 out of 10 times, beats him pretty convincingly unanimous dec, late stoppage.

Somewhere in that fight Trinidad lands the big one, and then it is good night. I think Curry was game enough that he would engage, and that would lead to his demise.

Have to say I was a curry fan but the progress of his career showed he was over rated.
