Naoya has incredible potential

Crazy he's been fighting and knocking people out with Winning gloves.

 

Yes, he's very good. I had some criticisms of him almost two years ago, and these need to be addressed:

1. Being caught out of position a lot when he is not dictating the fight. He becomes very rash and vulnerable to getting caught by some big shots.

2. He needs to defend against the right to the body, better

3. Tendency to come forward head first, and with his hands guarding the face but exposing the side of the head too much, making him vulnerable to hooks.

4. He needs to improve his abilities to adapt DURING a fight.

But Naoya has shown in the amateurs how quickly he can improve. So we'll see. We need him to face a tough, gruelling test with someone who can expose these weaknesses.
