Change back to the Wlad that beat the **** out of Ray Mercer, the one that let his hands go like no tomorrow. All he needs is to change his tune back to Tina Turner Simply the best and i see Fury getting it :deal
That's what he should do, he's been stopped enough x's so doesn't matter if it happens again. He he really went after Fury he'd beat him by destruction. . Good thing is, vit gonna be on him like crazy, he was so much more upset than wlad. They now know for a fact fury got nothing, I expect an easy one sided win with immediate retirement from wlad He would lose badly and risk serious injury against the real top 3 heavys today
That's the only way he can win it in my view, don't let Fury into any rhythm and tag him. Knowing Wlad he won't go that route.
He's 40 , if he was 35 he could change or no change ,he would still beat Fury and the rest of heavys easy.
'02 Mercer, while still dangerous, was not the same guy who gave Holyfield and Lennox all they could handle...nor did he have the 4" height and reach advantages which Fury will enjoy.
Fury would have took dat plodding mercer to school. Beyond past it. Ain't saying klitchko hasn't got a chance but fury can take it upon himself to take it to wlad first for the title, 2nd for legacy. Fury can ko wlad and remember I called the fury ud
He was not beyond past it at all. Maybe the version in 05 that Briggs stopped was, not in 02. He had three straight quick KO wins after Wlad vs guys with winning records.
Exactly what I think he will do. stomp Fury's ass with a brutal KO. Then many will be talking about what a bum/mental case Fury always was. Will put money on Wlad and will win money. Hope the odds are good by then.
It is his best shot at victory, but it will be tough for him to change. Wlad has been fighting the same cautious way for a decade now; weight on the back foot, rarely committing fully to his shots, not throwing at a moving target. Expecting him to go against something so ingrained is a tall order. Interviews with past sparring partners have said that Wlad's training can be quite repetitive; they say he will practice the same move over and over again, longer than any other boxer normally would. This leads me to believe that Wlad's basic style is so ingrained that it will be hard for him to change, especially if things don't go his way early on. Wlad is a fighter who is used to being in control and whos tactics are so muscle memory that when presented with something different, he could not adapt. Yes, he has time to start working on changes, but will it be long enough to get over 10 years of fighting in a way that is so intrinsic to him now and how will he react if he gets hit - can he stick with the new Wlad or will instinct kick in and will he go back to his usual cautious self?
He's almost 40 man. That's a very late age to adapt a different style, especially for someone whose worst attribute is adapting.
