Kalle & Nisse seem to sign UK fighters in last chance saloon scenarios.

Price, Groves, Chisora. Why do you peeps think this is?

Low cost? Relationship with matchroom, so know they can match them with uk fighters? Or just a pure gamble hoping they can turn career around? Or other?

Agree that I think he lost vs Degale.

Groves is a good boxer but quite flawed. Stamina issues as stated; his chin is ok just not that great. He does come across poorly after losses though and that is a sure fire way to make people not be interested in your career. Unless you're such a **** people want to watch you get beat up (Broner)

If George had a better set of whisker I'd be of the opinion he should move up.

    He looks huge at SMW.

He had that lovely knockdown of Froch in first fight, and his KO of smith was great also, good shout mate.

As you said though his chin, but would be interesting if he had better shot resistance an could take them

    Agreed. I really rate George.

People say that Carl wasn't up for it - Rubbish! He met his stylistic nightmare, that's all.

Very hard puncher, great movement, good combos and great killer instinct? That's everything that's wrong for Carl.

He clattered Smith. Really levelled him.

I thought he'd beat Jack, but I did say that everyone is sleeping on Jack. Look at him now...

I'd go for AA if I was GG. Then Bute. Then Degale/Jack winner.

Id do Bute first, then AA, i expected Murray to beat AA, an its an easy fight to make, but a hard fight.

Would rather Groves got a couple of wins first for confidence, an let AA age more before claiming his scalp, what would be a great win

the London boys loved him to death and thought he was gods gift when he was facing froch.

but how quickly look they abandon their hero, once their londonboy got beat good once again.

2g is however londons either top, or 2nd best smw.

I've got a feeling Groves has peaked. Maybe a change of trainer will prove me wrong, but not been impressed by George since the second Froch fight. He seems to have regressed. I wonder if, in a bid to boost his stamina, his training under Paddy became less explosive, because he seems to have lost power. Hopefully Shane McGuigan will accept Groves' VO2 Max is never going to be his strong point and turn him back into a boxer who knocks people out or hurts them badly enough in the early rounds to slow them down. Will be interesting to see how he performs next time out.

Groves wasn't last chance saloon after Wembley. He just came off the back of selling out Wembley and doing a big ppv. Yes he lost but no fighter who is part of such an even drawing so much money is at last chance saloon scenario.

Groves has too big faults that are his undoing.

Poor engine, and a level of arrogance i'd only expect from a proven World class fighter.

Self belief and arrogance go hand in hand with most top athletes, but George is absolutely deluded at times.

Not sure about the ' Chinny ' comments, i think his stamina is the main reason he seems to get buzzed late in fights, and lets be honest, the shot that Froch hit him with would have taken out virtually anybody at the weight.
