Scorecards have angered the Ioka team, particularly the card of John Poturaj who appears to have been drunk or blind...

    The cards-
judges: Stanley Christodoulou 96-94, Stefano Carozza 97-93, John Poturaj 94-96

That ******* also scored Kashtanov Vs. Valera that IB and I both had 11-1 for Kashtanov 115-113 for Valera, and he also scored Crolla-Perez1 a draw when Crolla should have won.

Apparently Hiroki got the WBA to recheck the card, was furious and described it publicly as "funny scoring".

Tbf Ioka did have a reputation a few years bad as a body breaker, his straight right to the body was a vicious weapon

+ was the swing vote between the split judges to help Glazkov escape Rossy with a draw. (granted his card mightn't have been as bad as Pierre Benoist's 98-92 for Glazkov; then again Benoist has a bunch of whoppers on his résumé such as: 5-1 to Kassim Ouma in a gift over Yusubov in what fairly probably deserved to have been a draw, Danny O'Connor pitching a shutout in a contest the other two judges scored for Vivian Harris, Gabe Rosado losing wide to Baby Roman in another instance of a SD with both of his peers disagreeing, etc. - so outdoing him is no high praise)

+ gave Sugar Shay three rounds against Lara. I'm probably Shay's biggest fan outside his immediate family and TMT and you can make a case for him taking just the eleventh that night, 119-109 is as generous as you can be, if not a pure shutout for Lara.

+ had WV2 beating Sonsona by four points, with both of the other judges having it for Sonsona by the same margin.

+ had Algieri beating Peralta Alejo 6-4. It was competitive but not that close.

+ not sure, but I think he might've been the goober that didn't have it a shutout for Judah as of the stoppage of Paris. (one judge had it 79-73, and though I can't find where it was ever published which judge it was, going by his track record my inclination here is to not give him the benefit of the doubt :D)

+ had Chambers vs. Rossy II ridiculously close.

Granted, he does have just as many examples of competent scoring in big important fights (that is, being in line with his fellow judges/the majority of fans/common sense) but that is enough of a sampling of standout negativity to say this wasn't an isolated case of 'bad night @ the office'.

    ...but he isn't THEBeast.

Or maybe he is. That would be weird. Making a GIF of yourself and calling it world class stuff would require a special kind of blend of un-self-consciousness and hubris, but I guess anything's possible. Just wouldn't figure Ioka would have enough free time for both training for world title bouts and being a regular contributor at TTR. :think

On the other hand, we've never seen them both in the same room at the same time.

Ioka reportedly drew higher ratings than both Uchiyama and Inoue.
