It looks like Pavlik/Calzaghe is almost official

You guys seem to be missing the point. Calzaghe doesn't and never has had GREAT defense. Pavlik lands clean on everyone one he faces. He has underrated speed, is very patient and calm and extremely skilled. he will land on Joe. He has one of the best right hands in boxing, much stronger then Hopkins counter right. If Joe is to win this fight he is going to have to eat a lot of leather....especially seeing how he performed in his last outing.

And he doesn't have the best history of NOT being dropped anyway.

You don't know who Taylor or Miranda are? atsch Jermain Taylor, you know the guy who has 2 wins over a younger Hopkins, and did so without touching the canvas. Hopkins at 43, being Calzaghes best win and it wasn't an impressive one at that.

pavlik has very good power but he didnt knockout taylor or miranda with one shot, it was his landing lots of clean shots that nailed them both

pavlik is going to land on JC, everyone gets hit, but there isnt going to be some mythical one punch flattening

Miranda would get a beat down from Calzaghe, worse than what Lacy got.

Taylor is so up and down it's untrue, he got a couple of close decisions off Hopkins, but then could have easily dropped decisions to Spinks and Ouma. Him being your best win isn't that impressive.

 

So go ahead and ignore it. I think if Pavlik lands clean on Calzaghe he will go down, and I think he will definitely land cleanly on him. I think this because I've seen Calzaghe dropped by a quick little counter right that didn't even land on his jaw but his forehead. I have also seen Pavlik hit people with his right hand. It's quick, accurate and powerful.

No actually this was the first fight where hopkins actually looked old. He had no gas late and it wasnt' due to the pace of the fight.

 

Actually at that time almost everyone expert predicted that Foreman would seriously hurt Ali. Are they all dumb for doing so??? No, Ali just proved them wrong.

You see son, when predicting what will happen in fights you look at all the evidence and come up with your own opinion about how the fight will most likely go. Do you think I'm the only person alive that thinks Pavlik will KO Calzaghe?
