BJS and his team know there is a 99 percent chance he will get knocked of if he faces GGG, they just want the money to possibly retire because he probably won't ever get another belt.

He realises he would get brutally knocked out, so he wants significant compensation.

you're talking like he's a past prime guy desperate to make as much as possible off the twighlight of his career, he aint retiring soon, ggg aint retiring soon. he'll do what all british beltholders do, fight teak tough ghanaians and brawling bosnians for easy money until the big time money fight is there to be made. maybe it'll be ggg, or maybe it'l be eubank first, whatever.

enough of this irrational and totally unrealistic :|:|:| every fighter has to fight every other fighter right now :|:|:|:| nonsense, it just makes you sound like spoilt(and dumb as ****) little kids.

Spot on. If they are offering Saunders close to - or less - than he'd get for a Eubank rematch, then he'd be silly to even consider fighting GGG. This is a business, and if he takes the Golovkin fight and loses, then his stock drops considerably. He can fight Eubank for the same coin, then cash out fighting bums while Golovkin is tied up waiting on Canelo.

He has a massive chance in this fight, and I picked Fury to outpoint Wlad in the decision. I will tell you right now, Saunders would be a massive chance if this fight were to happen.

Yep, that somehow has direct result on all British underdogs all over the world... if he favors him, no matter what the odds are (41 to 1 I believe in this case), the British guy will win. One British upset to rule them all :p

If he deside not to take the offer (assuming it´s 2M$) his options seems quite slim because he looks like a paper champ and rightly so. There are couple of dangerous but domestically reasonably interesting fights against Eubanks Jr. and Macklin that could sell in England and make him about 300 000-600 000$. But if he has to defend against Magomedov he wont make that much money and the risks are even higher. All the rest WBO ranked fighters are unknown and wont sell even in England. If he takes the offer, he will have the money and after couple of tune up fights, he could take the rematch with Eubanks Jr. He would make 2,5-3 Million in two years vr. 1,2-2M if he chooses to fight Eubank Jr, nobodies and his future mandatory Magomedov.

Whoa what's with the hate fellas. OK, so BJ's turned down 3.2 MIL and a chance to fight for 3 belts, so what? Canelo has been ducking an official challenger, Cotto ducked for what, 2 years? Ndam ran for the hills, Sturm paid off wba to be able do duck GGG, it's just how things are. Just take deep breaths and relax. Think of this as the only salvation black racists have in their lives. If GGG gets all these fights, their lives (the forum haters) is ruined. You don't want posters lives to be ruined, do you? Don't be cruel.

I decline your offer, as I'm still not seeing any upside for me.

I don't think you understand that basic concept of offering one a wager. You see, typically it involves an upside for both parties. But me resigning as Mod brings me no upside, and the board being deprived of your entertaining contributions would be a great disservice to all of our members who regularly post in the multitude of Golovkin threads that surface here daily. After all, your vintage catch phrase "in my book" is the stuff of ESB Legends. 'The Book of Barcham' is one of the most interesting philosophical ongoing boxing monologues to bless the realm of any internet-based interactive boxing community.

So you see, you're offering me a wager and calling me scared, when there is no outcome in this proposal that is the least bit beneficial to me in any way, shape, or form.

I'm not for banning books, and I for one am eager to read more about The Book of Barcham! I wager it'll be complete before that moron Martin ever finishes Game of Thrones.
