Booth was a quality operator, and it was great learning fights for Quigg when he fought him and Munroe. Booth was past best but was a good fighter still when they meet. These were very good opponents to fight at British level, and I cant remember call fighting this calibre of British opponent when coming through.

    surely this is a wind-up?

Booth was a punchbag and Munroe was bouncing around with NO game plan whatsoever (as he demonstrated in his last few fights before calling it a day).

Even for a novice like Quigg they were beyond what I'd class as "ripe for the picking".

    Great fight can't wait.

I'm rooting for Frampton but admit Quigg is dangerous.

Had to laugh at Barry Hearns comments yesterday about Quigg demolishing Frampton. Anything to try and sell the fight a bit more eh Barry?

In my opinion Quigg was outclassed in the first round by Martinez and I don't believe the comments after by Quigg that it was part of the plan. Yes he did well to stop him in the second but if I was a Quigg fan the first round would worry me a lot.

Framptons performance in America was also a bit worrying so both will have reasons to be optimistic.

My first point would be that if booth fought quigg and sparred frampton, then naturally in the fight harder punches would be thrown than in a sparring session.

However, i tend to think that quigg does have more body strength and possibly more 1 punch power. What is clear though is that frampton has ENOUGH power to keep quigg honest, at the very least. Given that is the case, and frampton is able to fight well on the back foot, frampton should be able to stop quigg from swarming him and box his way to a decision.

I always fancied Frampton but now I'm siding more towards Quigg.

I still quite understand why people bring up 1 round of Martinez vs Quigg. Who gives a damn who won round 1 when the end result was as devastating win for Quigg. That first round is complete irrelevant.

    You're speculating with both comments.

I really disagree it is irrelevant. Quigg looked clueless on the back foot.

Agreed. He looked like a newbie.

That can be put down to his trainer as well. No emphasis on defence.

It was the first round. That could be down to nerves. Far too much is made of 1 round where Quigg wasn't hurt or anything. If Quigg looked clueless for multiple rounds, I could see the argument but it was the just the 1st round.

It's the same with the last Pacquiao v JMM fight where people try to say how Pacquiao was dominating and would of got JMM out of there soon. It doesn't mean a damn thing when you get knocked out like Pacquiao did.

    Spot on mate. :good

Moving backwards whilst making your opponent miss, and countering them with the right hand ( the shot that finished the fight ) is considered " looking cluless " to some on here.

I' know who i consider clueless.

Do the IBF not implement a 10lb rehydration limit?
