How longs this going to take? 18 months/2 years?

Whats everyone else in the WBA rankings supposed to do? Just wait around? Wouldn't be surprised to see another interim title get made.

That's actually a very good point, basically freezes out Parker and Joshua for 2 years who look like they will be much better than some of the guys in this list.

What a load of ****. The WBA or IBF would never have pulled these stunts if Wlad was still champ.

Don't mind this in some respects but it should be done where the winner gets the winner of fury/klit, winner of the interim fights winner of the regular and the winner faces the proper champ

Oh and doesn't this effectively keep David Haye out of the picture for at least a year, now #9 in the WBA and don't think he's ranked elsewhere

So what does this mean if Fury wants to make his own defences while the tournament is going on? Will he be stripped of his title. Fury definitely got the short straw with Wlad & Ortiz on his side of the draw.

All IBF beltholders should wipe their arris's with belt and throw it in bin after the Fury farce.

WBA belt holders should do the same if this shyte is true.

Seems crazy. If its simply to get rid of their micky mouse world title belts why not just have a Regular v interim 'unification' as a final eliminator for the actual title, winner then just declared the WBA champ?

Seems the governing bodies are trying what they can to get their belts off Fury to me.

Isn't it just another way of saying that the winner of Ortiz V Ustinov is Fury's mandatory, with Oquendo getting the next shot? Each governing body's mandatory is enforced in strict rotation, so in order to complete this (let's face it, it will never work as it's written anyway) it will take ages as Ortiz/Ustnov will be waiting at least a year for their mandatory shot.

By the time the WBA mandatory's turn comes around again the landscape will look very different and Fury may well opt to take a voluntary against AJ that will be worth about 30-50 million to him rather than try and hang around to fght Ustinov for peanuts.
