Ward hasn't been an honest about what his intentions are either, we didn't even know he was going to move up to lhw until it reported by Dan Rafael. We didn't know who Ward's opponents were when he was suppose to fight on the Cotto-Canelo under-card until it was reported by Dan Rafael. Ward says he was going to fight on Feb 2016 now it's been pushed back to March 26, and still has trouble finding an opponent. Not only he's been inactive, but he's been sly with the public, and he hasn't done anything to push up his stock.
Well I don't like inactivity either but Leonard was perhaps the biggest sinner in this regard. He retired 6 times.
I don't think this is a a jab form Leonard. I think its a "dont make my mistake" type of encouragement
Andre Ward is being a liar when it comes to fighting the best. I mean this is Andre Ward the P4P #1-3 and he is trying to sell us into ordering HBO to watch him fight 2 bums with his verbal promise that you get a Kovalev fight as the 3rd fight. C'mon man were being taken for a ride. There at least a dozen things I can name off the top of my head that could happen and this fight Ward vs Kovalev never gets made. Could be a lucky punch, crooked judges, etc. anything could hinder this fight and make it vanish like a fart in the wind. Andre Ward farts!!
