The Revenge factor is huge to most. Especially when one is already filthy rich, about bragging rights and being the shot caller in future fights

I get that it, that the competition aspect flies right over many heads on here

 

If Khan can keep the fight on the outside he has a chance. If Garcia fights him at close range very likely Khan gets knocked out.

 

Really? 5ML for Brook? That's a bit of a stretch, although a better chance for a "W" for Khan.

If, big if, Khan can get a good win, he'll remind people in the UK he was a thing once. Maybe in that time Brook could stop beating up his postman. Domestic rivalries are obviously huge here. This fight could be, like, possibly Froch Groves 2 levels. Right now it wouldn't be close to 80 thousand screami... etc

If he wins Garcia he can fight brook as a unification fight for more money

 

According to the report below Khan would earn more like £7 million which seems more than a stretch but then British fans will pay to see a grudge match between 2 Brits.

The numbers being thrown around are surprising. Khan wanted £10 million with Brook getting £2-2.5 million so the possible pot for this fight seems far bigger than either could ever earn alone.

£7 million would be close to $10 million and Khan earns about $1.5 million per fight so it would be several times more what he normally earns. If the number being reported is true there is no reason why he shouldn't be biting Hearns hand off for such a payday.

The only reason I think Khan could have for delaying the fight is that he sees it as a fight he can put on the back burner that will always earn him money even after a losing effort against a Pac or Mayweather. So he wants the big PPV payday from Pac or Mayweather first then after losing that wants to beat Brook in the UK for a nice payday and retire on a win.

Personally if that's his idea, he's an idiot he's never going to get the fight he wants and there's no guarantee Khan will keep winning or Brook will keep winning, the Brook payday could disappear all too quickly.

But it would be summer 2017. That's a huge way off.

It has to happen this year. Just think khan is at the stage now where he doesn't actually care if the fight doesn't happen.
