Froch would have worn him down to a 12 round points decision. Ward would've schooled him. Lacy was limited with a 53% KO percentage. Did he really hit that hard? His record suggests not.
Wait are we talking about Lacy the guy who was literally getting ****d by counter lefts and rights by the awesomely talented ATG Ruben Williams right before he went on to face Joe ..:-( Froch beats him up for 12 rounds and Ward gets bored and stops him with a well placed body shot to the liver.
pathetically obvious . No offense left-handed its nothing personal I know you like Joe but he is what he is a HOF fighter no doubt but he left so much to be desired. I'm sure you'll find a way to be offended by this statement and somehow connect it to some racial inferiority complex.
why was lacy "ruined" when joe hardly ever hit him hard over the whole fight, taking a whole 12 rounds to sum total a cut face? surely he would be ruined by more arduous fights when lacy got knocked down and out. I see, you are biggin up joe's performance to try and make it appear more than when lacy was defeated by others way more easily... and yet I don't get your need to big up a perforace that was a genuinely good one for joe. You should just leave it as it is - a good win. I don't think you realise that you actually ruin joe's legacy by making stupid claims.
read any american preview of the fight read esb in the lead up to the fight in 2006 lacy was meant to win and was due to take over at 168 from the european domination previous. as i said hindsight is very easy.
Completely inaccurate, do you live in America? Probably not and if you do you brought along the same biased that most are plauged with and its sad. Sure there was hype surrounding him and why not there's hype surrounding anything or anyone that carries hope and the potential for $$$, it doesn't make them the real deal.
that's because they were selling him. ESPN make money on selling sports. This kinda happens with any new fighter getting some early success. Have you read the hype on Joshua - hes just a freaking prospect! on top of which, there were, at lacys ascendancy, no dominating fighters at smw until Kessler unified for 2 years right up till he got injured and subsequently lost to joe. Whereupon joe himself dominated smw for a few days in 2006 until he quit the division thus avoiding the challenging non-wbo mandatories that he would likely have lost a number of, adding several losses to his record. so lacy was obviously right to be mildly hyped in such a weak pool.
