I was going to see leasing or something along those lines would make more sense, and I confess that the scene from Back to School was playing through my head as I read that. :good I'm imagining the camera and broadcasting equipment is actually being leased by the respective broadcasting companies, FOX, NBC, etc.
These have been my thoughts for the past year.I am also curious as to why the "main" stream boxing writers have not done more probing into this PBC model and it's inevitable fallout. With the possible exception of Steve Kim,who questions PBC financial decisions and free ticket give a ways, not a single scribe has picked up on this.Very unusual,in my opinion.Something just doesn't sit right with this.
:good Could well be. Or, as Barcham said, it could be included in the time buy. It'd simplify the transaction from PBC's end if the network just built the cost of renting/leasing the equipment into the time buy.
People have been saying this for awhile now. The reality is that Haymon has burned $450 million on infomercials. He has no future on network television or business in general.
Gotta spend money to make money. If waddle and reed don't give haymon another 5 billion to continue this for 10 years their racist and don't want to see a black man make it
This guy has rabies. He actually thinks Haymon is holding Waddle and Reed hostage because they are so afraid to be called racist
Out of the current list of active boxers Haymon has there isn't one among them that can make $100 million in a their entire professional career. Hell all of his boxers, professional lifetime earning, combine wouldn't come close to the 450 million invested.
There's something happening, Thurman-Porter is branded as a hybrid Showtime-PBC on CBS. Haymon is broke and unloading event/TV cost on Showtime and letting them take over.
Some of you clowns truly need to follow another sport because you have no clue what's going on. None!
