Floyd actually didn't want that to happen, it was a move made by somebody in his camp and somehow it went through.

    Shouldn't have happened.

Khan called out Canelo at 155 about a year ago

He did not defend the 154 titles at 147. Let's try not to make things up shall we?

Sure I'm, people need to chill it and enjoy this for what it is. A fight that has no bearing on Canelo's legacy if he wins and a huge huge improvement on Khan's if he loses.

It's kind of a cash grab from Canelo but I think Khan truly believes he can win.

And if he does. God Damn!!

GGG is fighting middleweights. Canelo, a guy who hasn't made 154 since September 2013 is fighting a guy who has never fought above 147 and his resume at 147 isn't great either. Not even a title holder there. A guy that's been KO'd at 135 and 140 will likely be in the ring at around 150-155 against a guy coming around 170-175.

How is this good preparation for a fight vs GGG in September/ November?

Actually he did, in Maidana 2.

It was a mistake though, it was a move made suddenly by Ellerbe without Floyd's permission. Floyd was actually angry about it too and that's why they fell apart for a while.

Khan is almost a perfect "Canelo opponent". He can be massively outweighed on fight night, he's a big name, past it, 0 chance. I was expecting Canelo vs Tim Bradley until Pac vs Bradley was signed. So I imagine Khan is the perfect replacement.
