Supposed to be back end of this week, probably be tommorow, fingers crossed it's today though, really hope it is Takam considering they turned down Chisora for EU & Martin for IBF.

My bad, just read an article that's says they are still in talks with Martin's team, article was written 15 mins ago.

Going straight for the belt and not the eliminator? That's pretty bold.

    Martin is very beatable!

    poor footwork and very stiff.

Its a good learning curve for AJ fighting a southpaw.

Agreed he'd beat Martin, but thought maybe a bit soon for him to hold a world belt.

Though looking at the IBF rankings, I'd favor him against most...would still think he could do with a few different tests style wise though

  7. From what I was told Martin wanted money that was about 10x his worth. He is deliberately pricing himself out of it

Tell me if I'm wrong but if Martin is offering to fight AJ with title on the line, is there much point taking the Takam fight to be Martin's mandatory?

I suppose it's better to take the Takam fight and build the experience but if Eddie is being honest about wanting the quickest way to a world title, surely he'd take the Martin fight?

Either way i'll be happy if AJ fights Martin or Takam.

Sounds about right, all the while calling Joshua a coward or something along those lines.

Better split of the purse for being a mando but not a great deal more, agreed I'd be happy with either.

If he wins ibf. He only needs to fight mandatorys. He would be favourite against most of them anyway. Learn with the belt. That's what wilder is doing. He will make more money as champion as well. I think Martin is better than being given credit for. I might put money on the upset here.

i agree that they might be overlooking martin but if you had to choose a title holder at heavy then he would be the one. wilder hits much harder and can take you out at anytime and aj just inst ready for tyson fury and won't be for 18-24 months so if he could pick up the belt and defend it against decent opposition then the title makes him marketable and it helps sell ppv.

  14. A boxer should not be "learning on the job" whilst holding a world title. Makes a mockery of the sport.

He will always be learning. If he holds the ibf for 2 years then unifys it wouldn't be a problem.
