Heard Parker only started boxing 4 years ago. He looks pretty comfortable moving in the ring and throwing punches, better than many of the hw who entered late in boxing. Does he have the natural boxing instincts to succeed to the top at this rate?
Wilder,Jennings,Joshua, like stated earlier Mitchell. HW's can have a later start then the other divisions and still do well. Parker is not this great talent thats never been seen before and only time will tell
Parker has been boxing since at least 2009. He fought in the New Zealand national championships that year. He's probably been boxing even longer than that but that's the earliest amateur tournament he fought in that I could find.

Regarding a natural...He definitely has the skill, speed and attributes to go all the way. What sets him apart is his hand speed, as he has the fast twitch fibres which allows him to setup blistering combos.

I really need to watch something with him, haven't yet seen him. As far as naturals go, I'd say Rahman would have to be the best guy that came in late.
I dont know who told you hes only been boxing for 4 years mate. I am a couple of years older but when I was fighting 6 years ago he was a top NZ amatuer fighter. He has developed leaps and bounds since then and is much more commited/determined than his earlier days. As someone stated above, he was born into a boxing family.
Reminds me of Tyson Fury a bit. They should make this a marketing angle when the two hopefully eventually meet one day... boxing families naming their kids after fighters.
Yeah. I wonder how many members of Parker's family box or have boxed in the past? Most of the male members of Fury's either have done so in the past or are doing so now.
