I really hope Frampton does the job, though is anyone else worried about his weight cut? He said that after the last fight we might consider moving up a weight as it was a struggle for him. Do you think is was genuine or maybe just a ploy to try and force Quiggs/Eddie's hand into taking the fight?
Ill tell you what bothers me - all the heavy weightlifting Carl does. It has to build muscle bulk - it cant not do. This has to work against weight-making and stamina.
Sure did you see SSN yesterday? They (Eddie Hearn) had Quigg on being interviewed about Frampton "lying" about being KO'd in sparring. They're trying everything they can to worry or spook Frampton because they are afraid! They are worried and know that Frampton has to be off his game for them to have any chance of beating him. I really just hope Frampton doesn't fall for it.
You're totally right, should have been called off by the third, was disappointed in Eddie Bolger at ringside as well. O'Neill was badly outclassed and ran out of ideas halfway through.
Frampton is claiming a 60/40 split in his favour although Quigg said in the face off that frampton doesnt know what he [Quigg] is getting. The purse Im not so sure about, they havent been to forthcoming in that department
really started to get excited about next week... can I have some predictions for main event and undercard... does McCullough win:think... does burton win:think... does mcdonnell win:think:good
I think the undercard isn't that bad... McCullough maybe very ordinary but is lowe much better if at all better... this is a well matched fite between 2 boxers at the same level which always makes for a good spectacle .... :hey burton and shinkwin...both undefeated...this is also a 50/50 fite ..... burton is furys cousin and is 6ft 4" ...shinkwin very skillful but looks like he could make super middle...this is another one hard to call... mccdonnell is in with another undefeated fiter but is a clear favourite:good
Carl seems to lost his love of the 'daily grind'. He struggled with the weight in Texas and there are further signs of his falling out of love with the full-time job of work involved in being a pro athlete. This is a bit of a worry. Not so much in terms of Quigg but more so in terms of his future in the game. That said Carl DOES love to fight! He lights up when he talks about sparring. To sum these two up I would say: Quigg is an dedicated committed athlete who happens to fight. Frampton is a fighter who grits his teeth regarding the daily grind but does not by any means love it.
Hopefully! Good fight! Andy isn't bothering taking handy local fights, and just wants to get back at it
