Khan vs Canelo: Is it really nothing to lose?

If khan gets blown out in 3 or less rounds it will damage his reputation some. I live in america and only real boxing fans know of him and they think of him as fast but with a glass chin and nothing too special. Khan does not have a following and is not well known but then again no brit fighters are here. Boxing fans state side know of khan, brook and froch maybe degale a little less thats it

 

To finish my last point most americans could only name floyd and manny as active or recently active boxers they have heard of.

 

Well people say he can come back down and fight Brook. If he's beaten easily then I don't think US TV would offer as much money for the fight.

And I think Khan- which I think is somewhat unfairly- is more known for his failures than successes, and if he does lose by brutal KO early, his critics are going to have another field day, which gets passed off onto the casuals.

I think if that happens, Khan may lose his motivation for the sport and see Brook as his last big payday and minmise his own chances of winning.

I think it could get to a point where Brook v Khan is looked at more like Haye v Harrison than it was Froch v Groves II.

 

If this turns out to be the beating a lot of people expect then Khan might not be the same again.

Khan is fighting a middleweight with no rehydration clause, Canelo can punch, he is strong and still veryyoung, Khan could end up seriously damaged if this goes wrong.

 

This is a dangerous sport, he has plenty to lose.

You always hear about people saying a fighter wasn't the same after a certain defeat.

 

He'll make similar money to the Brook fight in this and if he pulled it off which i honestly believe he can then he would be able to make huge fights and the Brook fight would be huge!!!

End of the day hes taking a chance to make himself a star and getting paid around the same amount as he would get form the biggest fight he can make right now (assuming Brook/Alvarez would be similar purse for Khan) so id say thats a nothing to lose fight.

Plus losing to Alvarez isnt going to damage his career like a loss to Brook so it could be a better option in that sense.

 

He will get destroyed to the point he may end up retiring.

 

But will retire with millions and a wife, whilst you are In Chelmsford trying your hardest to hide your bald bonce.
