Most people agree that Wladimir Klitschko age 32 is the best heavyweight at present.

Of the younger heavyweights - those age 29 or less - who is the best?

    Chagaev

Hopefully, Povetkin, Arreola, Solis and Haye will be the class of the division in the next few years.

Some people complain about the heavyweight division, but that list doesn't look too bad. :good

Haye, Povetkin, Chagaev and Solis are all very good. I'm excited about the heavyweight division and looking forward to fights between those guys! :bbb

i think a big problem in todays heavyweights is the fact that the guys at the top tend to avoid each other. we had holyfirld fightin: douglas, foreman, holmes, bowe, tyson, lewis. lewis fought vitali, tyson, tua, rahman, mccall, holyfield and they all mixed in with each other.

whereas today the top men dont seem 2 wanna interact with each other. maskaevs defenses were poor, valuevs poor, wbo kept switchin hands. it was wlad who decided to go for it

The HW division is not nearly as bad as advertised. It's really only the Americans that are complaining. I charge that they are just not paying attention.

Now that Don King can't hold all or most of the titles hostage, we should see more unification bouts or at least top guys fighting each other more often.

Why put Haye in the list, for gods sake he hasn´t done a single fight in that class....

It was announced a few days ago that David Haye will be ranked in the top ten at heavyweight by the WBC. Haye says he will not fight again at cruiserweight, and has given up his WBC cruiserweight belt.

Haye has fought at heavyweight. Last year he KOed Bonin, who was ranked in the top 15 at the time by the WBC.

Ok, I correct myself. He hasn´t fought any good opposition and at the moment is NOT ranked in the division. You know that Bonin is a "nothing to speak of". Chagaev is a beltholder and Povetkin has fought good opposition. At the moment you just can´t compare a "not tested in the HW division" Haye to them...

Why not? Plenty of discussions on the board as to how Pavlik would do at SMW or LHW or how Pacquaio would do at LW, LWW or even WW.

Bonin was stopped by Audley Harrison 3 years before, that says it all about Bonin never mind his top 15 ranking by the WBC.
