I am not the biggest footy fan, but would love to see Leeds back in the top flight!

I just loved seeing Arsenal lose and blaming the ref lol!

A lot of our footie teams seem to have continental players now - think there was one high profile player over here also called Gianluca!

Yes, I´m from Italy! And I´m also the one who started the thread! :thumbsup

I hope also that the better man wins, both fighters also seemed to be nice and friendly guys...

Haven't heard of many dodgy decisions coming out of Italy ( the first Spinks-Piccirillo bout was supposed to have been a bit of a bum call, but with Spinks' style there's always a possibility of him losing out on both home and away turf). However, there haven't been that many high-profile bouts to speak of in that country recently, so its hard to tell.

Lynes has been on fire of late, and if I had to make a call I would say that he takes it by close UD. Not 100% sure on this one though.

this is a good fight for Lynes, unlucky he couldnt secure it in the UK, but i think he'll win a clear decision.

Lynes sets a good pace which will trouble the older Branco, has a very good jab although his power isnt up to much at this level.

I expect Lynes to start quick pick up the points, throwing everything behind his jab, branco will probably come on strong in the middle part of the fight but he hasnt gone 12 rounds in four years and has hardly been boxing at elite level, i think from the 8th onwards Lynes will increase his lead.

Lets hope he doesnt get robbed.

Good luck to you as well in your bout against Barnes for the British Title! Shame that got postponed.

Hope you are right about Lynes taking it on points tonight - we could do with a good win after Witter losing recently.

This would be a very good victory for Lynes.

He should do enough to win - with that fast accurate jab and ability to fight at a high pace.

Whether he will actually get the result over there is another matter though....

I'm rooting for Lynes. Not very talented BUT he is technically solid and approaches his work methodically. In shape, pumps the jab, hurts the body, punches in combos and pours it on. I like that.

Paul Cook is good at churning out those types i.e. Cook, Lynes and even Mitchell has come on loads under him.

I am really looking forward to this fight. Gonna sit down with a cup of tea, a pad and pencil, a hob nob and I am just going to relax with my mind at ease that Lynes will win a comfortable decision.

Lynes has been looking class over recent fights and seems to be getting better at what he does. I can not see him stopping Branco because that does not happen, Branco just bottled it against Cotto in Puerto Rico and he is not going to do that at home in Italy. He is tough and Lynes does not have enough power to stop him. I can see Branco giving it his best because it is his last chance of glory so maybe if he starts to get far behind he will get dirty. Lynes will probably keep tight and work behind his jab, keep on the move and out box Branco. Branco struggles with guys like Lynes.

So even with away judges I expect a 6-7 round win for Lynes.

I disagree there. He isn't flashy, but his genetics are solid and he is very co-ordinated, with useful enough muscle fibres.

Do you judge a fighters talent mostly on genetics?

lynes seems to have lost his way a bit last couple of rounds. into round 9 now

stuck some long shot money on the draw before the fight.
