I understand that, but the question was "Who's the best young Heavyweight?" Both Peter and Chagaev are on the list of choices, these guys are clearly the best and most accomplished fighters on this list, Haye is not really even a Heavyweight anyway, yet he gets the majority of the votes, it makes no sense.
I agree he was not. In fact, many ranked in the top 15 by the sanctioning organizations at present have done little to justify their high positions, for example Derek Rossy, Donnell Holmes, JD Chapman, Carl Davis Drumoind, and Kevin Johnson. That being said, the fight with Bonin showed Haye has power at heavyweight.
peter may be young but he doesnt fight like it. he lumbers around and throws punches to the back of the head. hes got no skill at all.
Yet, he has beaten everyone that stepped in the ring with him, excluding the number one guy Wlad Klit., who he gave one hell of a tough fight to, flooring him in the process. Peter is not the most skilled Heavyweight out there, but he has arguably the most power, top notch chin, and the killer instincts most at the top level now dont have. Anyone here that grew up on Foreman will tell you, he wasnt the most skilled guy to lace up the gloves either, but in the end he got the job down and over powered most of his oppenents to victory, similar to what Peter does in a lesser sense.
The most promising young talent is probably Denis Boytsov.I would like to put my emhpasis on the words "young" and "talent" here!! Chagaev,Haye, and son on are no young talents anymore! Boytsov is still a very young fellow who for sure has to learn one or two things before taking on any fringe contender out there, but the talent and the firepower is there.
why are people saying Chagaev.. he is a world champ and so is Peter, they aren't freakin prospects , they are wayyyyy past prospect stage..
