Would Mohamed Ali have had much a chance against the furious one?

Many of Ali's opponents and greatest wins had reach on him so I don't think that comes into play. Ali's footwork was good enough that Fury would have a hard time keeping up. If he can accidentally punch himself in the face then I don't have high hopes for his footwork. Ali had good power too. He didn't throw that many punches in a fight but when he started to he usually knocked guys out. Just look at his wins over Cleveland Williams and Zora Folley.

Fury is really smart but prime Ali would beat him to the punch every time with his superior footspeed and handspeed. Ali would either knock him out late or shut him out on the scorecards.

Ali would murder him in his prime, regardless of size

it'd be the first fight where both guys ran, and not a single punch was thrown.

Depends on how Ali deals with the height advantage fury has

Ali couldn't even beat 5'9" Joe Frazier. Fury would win by commanding decision. He is way too big and strong, plus he can box smart behind the jab using movement to control distance.

There is no logical reason to believe fury would beat Ali other than height

Fury can't box and move with Ali. His punch output is terrible and he looked clearly gassed in the late rounds against Waldo despite barely throwing anything. He's just too big to utilize that style well.

More nonsense from the general forum who think that being big is the end all and be all. If Fury tried to bob and weave in his next fight I guess he'd be a superior Mike Tyson too because he's just soo big.

Ali by UD. Beats him to the punch and outworks him.
