The sad reality is that these UK Matchroom fighters are only domestic level/AJ may turn out to be elite level but that is the truth.
Until you catch on to Sky's and Fast Cars bullsh#&t marketing banter it is buyer beware.

No complaint with Frampton and quigg topping a ppv card, two quality fighters and good lads. Hope they both made a fortune. The undercard was poor though, and with the main event failing to deliver, it leaves you feeling a bit disappointed in the show. PPv should have a top 50/50ish chief support too

I definitely agree that the undercard is poor value and something matchroom and sky need to improve on.

Fans deserve more then just a big main event

Exactly. The prob for Hearn was that he's saving all his 'stars' to AJ's big title shot versus Martin and so couldn't afford to risk any of them on this card.

The other concern not mentioned is the frequency of PPVs. One in Nov, Dec, Feb. April 9th presumably will be PPV (not sure if confirmed but probs all AJs will be PPV moving forward).

When is Brook/Bizier? Is Brook a PPV only fighter now?

Potentially looking at 6 PPVs a year.

People have short memories. FW put on many a bad show. Remember the magnificent 7 Ppv.

Then numbers are what matter most and like it or not these Ppv events hit the right numbers.

Cosign. Sometimes a fight won't be as good as we expect or hope. That's not something a promoter or network can control.

Nobody can say a fight between two undefeated champions isn't worthy of Ppv. Ppv is the reason the fight happened.

    This wasn't Bellew v cleverley

Brook/Bizier isn't PPV it's on regular Sky Sports. Joshua is PPV and I imagine if Khan/Canelo is on Sky that will be PPV.

They've tried to make Brook into a PPV fighter but he's not fighting the level of opponents to warrant it.

Criticism of the undercard= casual fan.. You stupid ****!!!

I have not got a problem with PPV model for big fights. I have supported it if you bothered reading my previous post you dumb ass. Nothing wrong with fans wanting a better undercard.

  11. You have to remember that Cyclone had half the undercard.

Had Barry been less greedy we might have got some better fights. His stable is predominantly very green fighters who are well below British level as of this moment.

Agree. It's not even necessary these days. With internet and DVDs etc. you can pick and choose your own programmes for entertainment or education, and if you are interested in news or current affairs you shouldn't be relying on such a limited 'news' source as the TV mainstream.
Sports rarely good enough to watch live, it's overpriced, and when it is worth watching you can see it in pubs.

But I guess for all the people who are addicted to soaps and games shows involving dancing ......

I get your point but Eddie has no control over how good the fighters are on the night, I didn't see too many complaints about the PPV prior to the fight compared to other PPV events he has put on and therefore I cant see how Eddie or even McGuigan are to blame for it, its the fault of Scott and Carl for underperforming and boxing in a very boring manner for 6-7 rounds.

Hearn does a big stacked card and there are complaints, he does a huge main event with a few good trade s****s and there are complaints, I don't think any promoter can win these days.

What's the excuse as to why Matchroom's undercards are shocking then?
