He's a gatekeeper that's it- not great but he should at least come to fight.

Same here was hoping for a possible top 15/20 fighter.

    Let's hope next time....

Hughie Fury probably wouldn't even be taken seriously at all if he wasn't related to Tyson Fury. He'd hardly be noted.

Even when Tyson Fury was dismissed as a fighter, he was noticed and followed because he is a personality.

I can't believe anyone is actually expecting Hughie to achieve much are they?

I always wonder how many of them are actually trolling. Certainly the ones that were boasting about his power.

I think because he won Gold for England at the Worlds as an amateur and because his Dad coaches the heavyweight World Champion as well as Hughie.

Apparently this is for a belt of some kind, so assuming Hughie wins he'll begin making an appearance in the world rankings.

Can't believe how easily people are letting fury off the hook...peter fury has banged on about hughie being a world class heavyweight for months and said he will 100% be fighting a top 10 guy next, and this is the opponent?

Can you imagine the backlash if you replace hughies name with Anthony Joshua?

It's been confirmed, the fight is for the WBC International Title.

So we should see Hughie now working his way up towards becoming a mandatory for Wilder.

    Mandatory for Povetkin probably ;)

Is it me, or are these vacant "International/Intercontinental/Pan-African Arctic etc" titles always handed to big names or prospects fighting an undeserving easy target?
