Most of the the first 6-7 rounds could easily be scored 10-10. Nothing happened at all ! Quiggs getting the stick but Frampton hardly did anything too. Quigg blocked most of the very few shots he threw. Quigg has a higher percentage of shots landed in those early rounds! For example watch round 2 nothing happened apart from Quigg landing one good shot.. you could have given that round to Quigg. Frampton didnt really do enough to win those early rounds.. you have to score most of them 10-10

Quigg proved he was the stronger guy, bigger puncher, with the better chin in the 2nd half of the fight. Frampton was really hurt in the 11th round, the referee helped him by jumping in for nothing.. and buying Frampton seconds. Quigg may have knocked him down ir stopped him.

The last 1/3 of the fight was brilliant.. especially the 11th round, so people are chatting bubbles if they are saying it was a craap fight. Overall it was an average fight to watch yeah.. but the last 4 rounds were really good so you can't say it was shiit.

And people saying Frampton Won easily are talking pure shiite
It was a close fight. Quigg won about 4 rounds.. Frampton won about 4 rounds.. then the other 4 should really have been 10-10 rounds.. because hardly anything happened! but uts debatle and whatever you like. All Frampton was doing was throwing more shots in those dull rounds.. but almost all of them Quigg was blocking.

I know who my money would be on in a rematch...Quigg is the stronger guy. If he starts the fight the way he fought from round 9 he'd probably stop Frampton

It takes 2 to make a fight, Frampton was trying to make the fight happen, looking for the openings and Quigg would not allow him to do so.

Whether this was out of fear of being countered, or Framptons footwork was just too gd for Quigg who knows, their are many possibilities for this but u cannot win rounds if u do not throw punches

and btw if Quigg started the way way he began in round 7/8 then he wouldnt have lasted the fight himself, he would have gassed late on so for me this is not an arguement

Frampton was just too gd, Quiggs dubious opposition in his career had not prepared him for fighting a boxer with the skills and varity of Carl Frampton, it really is as simple as that

Yh Frampton was trying to make the fight more.. but he wasn't doing much more.. (if that was someone like Carl Froch in there he would have gone for it.)
Frampton was fainting and tapping Quigg was blocking everything. Did Frampton REALLY do enough to win those rounds? I don't think so.

No way would Quigg have gassed. Hes very fit. Whereas Frampton was feeling the pace in the 10th and 11th round.. Jim watt commented on this.

Both disguised their nerves in different ways. Frampton threw arm punches at gloves and Quigg froze. That was the difference.

Nerves for me was huge thing, i was ringside for the fight and from the outset Frampton looked calm and at home in the situation and the complete opposite can be said for Quigg

I said to the guys i was with that from the outset Frampton started on the front foot, he looked to push Quigg back and put Quigg in a position that he was not comfortable in.

When it is was apparent Quigg was willing to lose rounds why wouldnt Frampton not do just enuff to win the rounds when clear opening were not being given?

should he try and force an opening in a fight hes clearly winning against a guys whos coming off a 1 punch KO victory? the biggest of his career?

Its madness to think in such a massive fight a guy is going to try risk everything in the early stages when hes consistently putting rounds in the bag in a fight that is expected to go 12 rounds

    Frampton landed 14% (83 of 592)
    Quigg landed 26% (85 of 322)

any educated individual knows stats do not tell anywhere near the whole story

any educated boxing individual knows that punch stats are very hit and miss (excuse the pun)

feel free to provide the breakdown of the punches per round as Quigg landed approx 85% of his punches in 3 rounds

I know stats don't tell the whole story. But it proves the trolls are doing what trolls do when they claim 'frampton won easy'. It was a split decision, the punch stats favour Quigg, one judge had it for Quigg, Jim Watt and Froch had it a draw, many others had it very close. IT WAS A CLOSE FIGHT

Eddie Hearn seemed to think otherwise

but anyways boxing is a subjective sport so some ppl may feel it was close, the minority r entitled to their opinion

Look it was a **** fight. Quigg shot himself in the foot with his slow start. neither where doing much but Frampton looked the busier fighter even though he was mainly just hitting the gloves.

Quigg is the stronger, bigger puncher. if he had jumped on Carl from start he would have probably broken him down. He didn't jump on him though and he allowed Carl to fiddle his way through.
