Gannicus is just being a Beterbiev fangirl cause Beterbiev shares the same religion as him.

I never go on the European Forum so no, I saw the Balogh match about 4 months ago on YT when I was looking for Gvozdyk vs Sierra, I was trying a bunch of Oleksandr vs. variations in Cyrillic, and stumbled upon him. But there was only one match on there and a few badly lit amateur matches, I was impressed but wanted to wait until more footage showed up before doing a tread on him.

show me 4 months ago where you posted about him...you never.

hmm it's either too ironic or just a big coincidence that on the 15th February a thread was made about him on the European forum, and then just 9 days later you first mention him :hey

anyway that doesn't matter... You should do a thread on him he looks a class prospect :good

I never posted about him, but I haven't posted about 20 or 30 other guys I've seen footage on either, I've just recently watched a match of Martin Bakole Ilunga that's Junior Makabu's HW brother and I haven't mentioned him either.:deal Latineg mentioned something about him in one of my threads so I added him to my HW thread when I did it.

    I will when I have more footage.:good

Not really. He's only 23 and was fighting at 201lbs, Usyk wasn't competing during those years and Teslenko still didn't do much on the National scene in Ukraine.

2009 National Youth Bronze at MW
2011 Lost before medal round 201lbs
2012 got beat up and stopped (mercy stoppage from punishment not put down or seriously hurt) by Poyatsyka, long time #2 behind Usyk
    2013 lost before medal round
A few decent A class tournaments mostly with losses to none number 1's

He was maybe a 3rd or 4th rate 201lber in an okay but nothing special National scene.

Poyatsyka is quite a seasoned bomber.

How is he so good then... Has Teslenko improved a lot recently.. or something. Judging by seeing them both,Teslenko seems to be more talented than Poyatsyka.
Serhiy Rabchenko was a solid heavyweight too, and Gevorg Manukian is coming up now.. a very strong fighter, Teslenko has a win has a win over Manukian. So Teslenko had to compete with Usyk/Poyatsyka/Rabchenko/Manukian.. that's why he didn't shine as a amateur so much...

I watched the video all the way up to the point where both of them stepped to the middle of the ring for referee's final instructions right before the fight.

When I saw two guys still wearing T-shirts, I figured out it must have been some tough-man competition.

Let me know if he ever turns pro.

...And won an Olympic medal...which is almost as impressive as your 5th grade science fair participation trophy.

That's because he was too young for the Olympics and the talent level at super heavyweight in the amateurs is loaded with older men. So he didn't stand out then.

Teslenko came into his own in the past year or so a boxer. Just watch his professional debut. You'd have to be blind to miss his speed, power, and technique.

Would he beat Wilder now? I'll answer that a bit differently. He would be Wilder's most dangerous opponent and would have a real shot to upset. Give him 1-2 years as a pro, and I'd pick Teslenko to defeat Wilder.

    CST80,

I follow the amateur heavyweights. Check my thread on the best of the bunch. I rate Teslenko third on the list of young pro's and amateurs.

This is all talk until you prove it. It's easy to make any outlandish claim. As it stands, Beterbiev:
    1. Officially won BOTH bouts vs Kovalev.
    2. Was the greater amateur boxer of the two.
