Why dose the word UFC make people angry on here?

MMA has it's place but it does attract some absolute mongs as a fan base. Plus these people need to get some perspective on the level of the sports, it is a third tier sport with third tier athletes, a long, long way behind sports like boxing, soccer, football, tennis, athletics etc.

 

MMA'r > boxer in an actual fight, all things being equal.

 

I love boxing but I think its the other way around. Even in MMA forum in here you will find intelligent answers like "mma is s***ty and gay sport."

No real mma fan would disrecpect boxing. Everyone knows without good hands its hard to go far these days and BJJ alone is not enough to win fights anymore. Everyone in mma learn some sort of boxing. Boxing fans though seem to think boxing is superior to everything else and ground game is gay and all.

 

It's not gay, it's just ****ing BORING. When these fights hit the ground, it's snooze time. I'd rather watch paint dry.:deal

 

Thats because you have no idea what they do as you never grappled in your life. Its like saying boxing is boring after watching Mayweather running or Klitchko hugging opponent to death.

 

There's some jealousy from the boxing purists about the popularity of MMA. I know a fairly high level former fighter who refuses to watch it.
