Golovkin imho still has a bit of trouble with pressure fighters who like moving forward and have an iron chin. The jab he demonstrated against Lemieux went some way to dispel that notion of mine, but I would have loved to have seen him vs a Chavez jr or Froch. He also lets himself get tagged too much. I suspect his chin is exceptional, but the wrong punch at the wrong time can put anybody to sleep. He needs to forget "big drama show" and just win.

Barely lost a round up this point, my point exactly
Offensively he protects himself perfectly after throwing those multiple combinations. Which maybe after saying that, "Is
GGG the best defensive fighter ever?" May have been a more suitable thread title.

 Little g is nowhere near the calibre fighter as prime Jones and after 9 long years Little g has never been in the ring with any opponent at prime Toney or Jones's level.

Golvkin looks good against bums like Geale and Murray, fighters that are 2-3 levels below the Toney and Jones's of the sport.
The only reasonable claim to be made is, Golovkin looks great against c & B level opponents. :yep

He's the best right now. He's the best since Calzaghe retired. That's why people duck him, even Mayweather doesn't want that jab in his face.

If he was such a good boxer, he wouldn't be afraid to move up and beat larger fighters by using his "perfect" boxing skills.

TS is obviously one of Golovkin's regular detractors in a ****ty disguise.

They talk a good talk (any fighter between 154 to 168) and give good hype (KO'ing HWs in sparring), but duck whenever their bluff is called (Lara, Ward). :smoke

Good lord not this again change the record.

Ward expected Golovkin to move straight up to 168 to fight him, yet wants 3 fights to get used to the weight when he himself moves up.

When has Lara's management ever asked for the fight?
