What's Dawson got to do with Ward? Ward beat a woefully drained shell of Dawson, no one gives him any credit for the win nor should they.

People will come back and say that Dawson took the fight. Which is true. But no one is feeling bad for Dawson, just objectively appraising the win.

Kessler was a nasty foul fest with poor refereeing, which diminishes the win. Leaving Froch as the only top shelf win Ward has that is free of baggage.

If Ward's resume is better than Kovalev's, its not by much. And his active resume is far worse. It's usually silly to use fights more than three years old to evaluate current ability.

We will see where Ward is really at when he faces Barrera.

 

You lose all credibility by calling Billy Goat Ward a "real American hero " ROFL He'll never face Kovalev his knee will get inflamed again

 

Kovalev is the more proven fighter currently at LHW. Those talking about Ward's SMW resume, I don't see where it matters here. Kovalev is the Champ and better LHW until Ward proves otherwise.

Lineal yes. I was mostly speaking in regards to Kovalev-Ward at LHW where Kovalev would be the champ in that fight. I also don't think it is clear who the man at LHW is.

 

Kovalev shouldn't have to go to Oakland. They will try and poison Kovalev.:verysad Have it at the Stub Hub or Staples Center. Or at MSG in New York.
